Our Project Approach

Our projects combine innovative sound and lighting solutions with effective signage. We make sure every design matches our clients' wishes perfectly.

From first conversation to handover

Every project deserves a professional approach

At TECside we believe every successful project starts with thorough preparation and clear communication. Our step-by-step approach makes sure nothing is left to chance and that you always know where you stand.

From the first conversation to the final adjustment, we guide you through the whole process. Transparency, craftsmanship and reliability are at the heart of the way we work. Because a perfect end result does not just happen – it is the result of careful planning and professional execution.

Our experience with top clients such as VRT, Radio 1, Radio 2 and BNP Paribas has taught us that every step in the process is crucial to the end result. That is why we use a proven method that leads to perfect results time after time.

Step 1: Intake meeting

Your vision is our starting point
Every project starts with an in-depth conversation in which we discuss your wishes, expectations and budget. We listen to your story, understand your goals and explore the possibilities together.
During the intake meeting we discuss:

Step 2: Measuring

After the intake meeting, our specialists go on site to take precise measurements. Audio measurements, light measurements and dimensions – everything is carefully measured and documented.
Our survey includes:

Step 3: Lighting Plan, Render and Audio Calculation

Based on the measurements, we work out a detailed plan that shows exactly what your project will look like. Lighting plans, 3D renders and audio calculations give you a realistic picture of the end result.

Professional lighting plans with exact positioning and 3D renders.

Audio and technical plans

Audio calculations for optimal sound distribution.
Technical specifications of all components.
Material lists and cost specifications.

Step 4: Installation by Our Own Technicians

Craftsmanship you can see and hear
The installation is carried out by our own experienced technicians, who know exactly how our systems work. No subcontractors, no surprises – just craftsmanship of TECside quality.

Aftercare

At TECside our responsibility does not end at handover – on the contrary, it is the start of a long-term partnership. About three months after handover we come back for a free check visit: we inspect everything and fine-tune the programming, because the perfect setting sometimes only becomes clear after use. All our installations come with a two-year full warranty, parts and labour included (five years on Martin Audio loudspeakers), backed by our own repair service, which can be reached 24/7 in case of breakdowns – because technical problems do not keep office hours. Thanks to our advanced control systems, we can monitor and adjust installations remotely, so small changes or fixes can often be made straight away without a technician having to come on site. This combination of local expertise and modern technology keeps your TECside installation running worry-free for years, with the peace of mind that we are ready whenever you need us.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

01How does a project work?

In four steps: intake meeting, on-site survey, lighting plan with 3D render and audio calculation, and installation by our own technicians. Aftercare follows after that.

02What warranty do I get?

All our installations come with a two-year full warranty, parts and labour included. Martin Audio loudspeakers carry a five-year warranty.

03What if something goes wrong?

Let us know by email or phone, with a photo or video if you can. Our repair service is available 24/7. We monitor many installations remotely, so small problems are often solved straight away; otherwise we come over. Illuminated signs are repaired in our workshop if needed. If a manufacturer’s part is involved, we handle the contact with them.

04Can the programming still be changed?

Yes. During the free check visit, about three months after handover, we fine-tune the programming, because the perfect setting sometimes only becomes clear after use.

05Do you come and look on site first?

Yes. Almost every project starts with a site visit of about an hour and a half: we look at the space, take measurements and check power, ceiling, cabling and access. The visit and the quote are free of obligation. Feel free to send a plan, photos or dimensions beforehand, so we can already start the study.

06What is the lead time, and how long does installation take?

Once you approve, we order the equipment; that is when the lead time starts, usually a few weeks. Products from abroad can take 4 to 6 weeks. The installation itself is quick: about a day for a projector, about three days for a complete audiovisual installation in a room. We plan around your activities and always let you know about a delay in advance.

07Can I see or hear it first?

Yes. If you are unsure about the effect, we make a sample or a test set-up, or we go and listen to a comparable installation together. In our workshop in Leuven you can look at samples, and we are happy to send photos or videos of similar projects.

08What determines the price?

Every project is custom-made. The price depends on size and shape, the number of fixtures or loudspeakers, the quality level, the controls, design hours and installation (height, aerial platform, travel). From photos, dimensions or a mock-up we give a first estimate. If you have a budget, just tell us: we look for alternatives and say honestly when quality starts to suffer.

09Do you come back after delivery?

Yes. About three months after delivery we come back as standard, free of charge, to check, measure and fine-tune everything. Small adjustments you ask for are made right away.

10What do I need to provide myself?

We agree on that in advance. We can take care of the power distribution ourselves, or your electrician provides sockets and cables to our specifications. A networked system needs a wired network connection and coordination with your IT. If you want to save costs, you can run cables yourself or provide helpers.

11Can we keep existing equipment?

Yes. Whatever is still good, we keep: microphones, screens, amplifiers, loudspeakers. Where possible we link existing controls. We can also diagnose and repair an installation built by another company; afterwards you get a short report.
